Ingredients: 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces 2 tablespoons olive oil 1/4 cup bourbon 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons ketchup 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry) 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for spice) Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
Instructions: 1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides. 2. In a bowl, whisk together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. 3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. 4. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens. 5. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. 6. Serve hot over steamed rice or with veggies.
